Aderemi Ogunbanjo is the Partner leading the Energy & Natural Resources Practice at Tope Adebayo LP (TALP), Lagos, Nigeria. She currently serves as the Second Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association – Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) Construction Projects and Infrastructure Committee, a role she rose to after serving as an executive member. This progression reflects her growing influence and recognised leadership in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Aderemi is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria, the Nigerian Gas Association, and the Nigeria Energy Institute, and has a master's degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Birmingham, UK.
Internationally recognised by IFLR 1000 and Chambers and Partners for her exceptional expertise, Aderemi has co-led advisory on high-profile transactions, including the acquisition and transfer of operatorship of prolific upstream assets of indigenous E&P companies, steering deep-sea port developments to attract oil and gas investments, and guiding asset divestments. Under her leadership, her teams have delivered landmark outcomes, from advising global giants like Schlumberger on Nigeria's oil and gas regulatory frameworks to developing policy and compliance strategies for the Federal Government.
